How should we view the profession of product manager? In other words, if we strip away the identity of the product manager, what experiences do we have in the process of growing up and apply to ourselves?
These experiences are not analytical models and methodological Number List skills at work, but the condensed self-growth. Have we become better in the process of project experience?
Thinking from this perspective, I carefully examined myself and found that the product career in these years has indeed brought me a great change in cognition, which has become a 4-point imprint in my heart.
Therefore, this is a summary of the product people's career, and it is also an upgrade experience in life.
1. Continuous optimization can be better
Product iteration is the process of continuously splitting the path nodes based on the target premise and finally realizing it. This process is called "optimization", and it gets better through iteration.
This is my biggest feeling, nothing is done in one step, only slowly getting better. From the small steps of quick verification at the beginning, to the all-out effort at the end.
Work and life are full of surprises. When encountering problems and solving problems, we do not expect to be able to do it in one step. This is not just a matter of life, but an indomitable goal-oriented approach.
We believe good things are happening. What is happening is the process from a spark to a prairie fire, and this is the path of optimization. Work is like this, study is like this, and life is like this.
There are traces of optimization, and there are fixed paradigms for reference: optimization = one thing + one purpose + one premise + always perfect.
One thing is fundamental. What exactly are we doing? Define the thing itself first, and you will avoid many detours later. This is the premise of everything, and our work and study cannot be chaotic.
One purpose is to guide. How do we judge whether things are good or bad? To what extent did it meet expectations? The answer to this question is the direction, which guides the series of activities that are about to take place in our present moment.
A premise is the foundation. Things cannot be done arbitrarily, but based on the current situation, limited by the factors of resources, time, and manpower, we need to find a solution that meets the current situation, and the most suitable one is the best solution.
